Everyone has heard of Geissele. Geissele is one of the top companies in the industry who has made huge advancements, with products that are being used in today’s military. But have you heard of their other company known as ALG Defense? ALG Defense is a second company, that is owned and operated by Geissele, with the shooter on a budget in mind.

In my journey’s scouring the industry for products that would help enhance the comfort, and overall durability of my rifles, I had stumbled upon ALG Defense’s website. There is a tremendous amount of products that have been made available to consumers, including triggers, and rails. This time I was on the hunt for a rail system that would fit my demands.
ALG provides many different variations and models of their rail system, but what took my eye was their EMR V3. I did my reading first on the website prior to buying this. What really sold me was that ALG made it possible to attach “third party M-LOK attachments at 2,4,6,8 and 10 o’clock positions.” Along the possibility of M-Lok attachments there is a spot on the “12 o’clock position that has a picatinny rail as well.” This is an extremely valuable asset to me as a shooting enthusiast as well
Prior to purchasing the rail, ALG does not however that if this is the first rail that you have ordered from the company; a barrel nut wrench is needed that ALG provides for a small fee that I did not mind. After adding purchasing what was needed for this rail system to be installed , I ordered and received my product. I installed the rail system onto my rifle, and was ready to take it to the range.

For the first few magazines throughout range day, I put the rifle through the ringer. The rail was light, and provided the comfort that I required for a rail system. After everything was said and done, I decided to add a few different attachments on the rail just to see how the rail could hold up , and I could not be more impressed with the compatibility it holds.

To sum it all up with the EMR V3 by ALG Defense, it’s exactly what you would expect from a company with the roots of a parent company such as Geissele. This is an excellent rail system that I am extremely happy with. I am able to fully show my support to the craftsmanship, and attention to detail that has been put into this system.
