Active Carry Team Leader

No matter what I am doing, I always like to make sure that I have a medical kit on hand. Just in case any situation arises that requires immediate attention. I like to make sure that I never leave the house without some sort of kit is in my possession. Recently I found the need to upgrade what I had on hand, and I began the search. I looked around for a good med kit provider that filled the need on what I had demanded in a kit, and upon looking I found a company that I had recently found that provided a variety of  IFAK styles and sizes. I figured that if this was a top choice for the duty belt that was being used for Alpha Omega Kydex’s Phalanx belt, then I would have to give Active Carry Technologies a test run myself.

Diving right into the company, I had the pleasure to be able to speak with the owner himself about what the company has to offer in terms of content. We briefly discussed what I would be using the kit for. I told him that kit would be used for travel, outdoor activities such as camping and hiking, and would be on my person when I attend regular trips to the shooting range. After hearing what I would require of a kit, he made the suggestion of the “Team Leader.”

Going through this kit out of all the others that are offered from Active Carry Technologies, the Team Leader is the one that offers the most when it comes to content provided. Before going inside the pack, I want to discuss the actual pack itself. The pack is extremely durable. There are 3 different compartments in the pack that has enough space to fit everything provided by the company. This is best for the user I believe, due to the fact that everything is right there. If there is a small number of compartments, then there is a small chance that you will misplace things, keeping them in their correct compartments.

The versatility of the pack is something that I find extremely helpful. Let’s face it, some individuals don’t have battle belts, plate carriers, or packs that are compatible with MOLLE straps. I have strapped the kit onto all three and attempted to move it around, but the pack does sit firmly when attached to with the MOLLE straps.

Going inside the pack and what it has to offer, the main question that I have been asked is what type of content are we going to expect if we are to purchase a kit from Active Carry Technologies. First and foremost, the most important thing that I will say is that each kit varies. With this being said, there are a few notable items in this kit, that I believe is a major differentiator between Active Carry kits and other kits that you see on the market. The team leader offers items that you normally would see in a basic kit; gauze, band-aids, burn cream, tweezers, tape, sheers, marker, etc. The items that I think are something worth noting are chest seal, an emergency blanket, CPR face shield, Quick Clot Dressing, H bandage, saline rinse, and a SWAT-T Tourniquet.

For my final thoughts on the Team Leader by Active Carry Technologies, I would have to say well done. The number one point that I cannot stress enough is that this pack is extremely versatile. It doesn’t have to be strictly for the tactical community who is looking for a strong IFAK that they are able to bring around whether it’s on a belt or plate carrier. The IFAK can go anywhere and everywhere. The attention to detail when it comes to filling the pack with the correct medical equipment is noticeable. I know what’s in there, and what to expect without having to second guess myself on what I may or may not need for a situation. For me, I can’t stress enough to anyone I meet to always have a solid medical plan in place for anything that they do, and to have quality equipment to make sure you are able to help whoever may need it.
