Dark Storm Industries : Typhoon 15 ” Non-NFA Firearm”

I have had the chance to shoot a lot of different types of firearms when it came to me doing my reviews. I had the chance to shoot rifles, shot guns, pistols, etc. This time around I had to shoot something that really caught my eye. This time around a Non-NFA Firearm came from a company known as Dark Storm Industries. There are a lot of things that seriously caught the attention of myself, and I want to go over what I believe to be an outstanding piece of engineered firearm greatness.

Let’s face it, where I come from we have a lot of different laws in place that limit what you can use and own in the State. This is something that we have to endure if we want to continue to live in a State like this no matter the reason. I have seen many different companies that make NON- NFA firearms such as this. However, after speaking with Dark Storm Industries I knew that this was the  company that I would be wanting to review. So let’s jump right into this review and go over the key characteristics like I do with every review.

The first thing I would like to go over in this review is the pistol brace that is used. Looking at the pistol brace, the thing that I find most interesting is what brand that they decided to go with. SB Tactical is the brand of choice for their Non-NFA Firearm. Living in the state that I live in now, this is something that you normally do see. The stock is definitely something to behold, everyone knows what SB Tactical is about. When it comes to the stock, I find that the best thing about it is that he State I live in allows it to retract whenever you want and you don’t need it to be permanently fixed like our local laws state. Allowing individuals the opportunity to be able to adjust their stocks in State  like the one that I live in now shows us that this is something we need to be able to all have in our collections.

The next thing that I would like to go over is the pistol grip itself. I find that when it comes to the pistol grip on any firearm, if it doesn’t feel right in the hand then there is a problem. Dark Storm Industries made it to the point where you don’t have to worry about giving up the comfortability of holding this Non-NFA firearm by using a Hogue grip. Everyone knows in the game who Hogue is, and what they are about. I find that when using a Hogue grip you are not sacrificing comfort and you are still able to maintain function as well.

  • Magpul vertical foregrip is used as the primary fore grip

After going over the few characteristics that I believe should of been represented , i want to go over its performance. When I took it to the range, I ran around 500 rounds through the system.  I wanted to make sure that I had obtained an understanding of the system. After running this weapon through its paces I would have to say that I was thoroughly impressed with it. The Typhoon 15 ran extremely well, and I had zero problems with the system itself. However, I did run steel and brass ammunition to see if it could run both. When it came to the brass I didn’t have a problem with it, the steel ammunition there was the usual problems that one would get from it.

Overall, when it comes to the Typhoon 15 Non-NFA Firearm from Dark Storm Industries, I would have to say that this is definitely something an individual should invest in. I had zero problems in performance, and the fact that it comes standards with some high quality parts from extremely reputable companies, there is nothing more than I can say other than Dark Storm Industries out did themselves.
