When it comes to those companies that are in business with the 2nd Amendment community, there is nothing better than supporting those veteran-owned businesses. We all love to support our brothers and sisters, and the endeavors that may be in their future. This is why I would like to take some time to talk about a locally owned veteran gun shop that has caught the attention of many, including myself.
Whittaker Arms of Folsom, NJ is owned and operated by Jim Whittaker. Jim is a United States Marine Corps Veteran, and retired New Jersey State Trooper. I have had the pleasure to get to know Jim over the last year, and only now after becoming a writer of Liberty Report did I have the ability, and resources to describe the type of individual that runs this shop, and the services that are provided for anyone that does business with him.
Located in South Jersey, the shop comes off to first-time customers as to something that you wouldn’t expect of a gun shop. The shop is directly located on the property of his home, in fact, the business is run out of the basement of his home! When I was first told of this shop by a family member who is good friends with Jim, I did not know what to expect when I got there. Walking into the shop I noticed immediately that even those his shop was located within his home, that this was far from being a work from home kind of deal.
Going into the shop I did not know what to expect when it came to customer relations. All I knew was that he is a Marine, and a retired State Trooper and that was good enough for me. I had the pleasure to speak with Jim, and get to know him better and what he had to offer when it came to services with the shop. He told me that if there was something that I was looking for in terms of firearms that he did not carry on him, he would immediately place the order and have the firearm that you are looking for delivered to the shop without hesitation. This is something that I found extremely important. Anyone who is willing to go out of their way to make sure that you have exactly what you are looking for in terms of firearms is someone that I would gladly do business with.
As far as services are concerned as well, NJ is a state that makes sure that your rights to own a firearm is extremely restricted. When it comes to muzzles breaks, for example, having them in NJ is something that is required to be pin and welded to the barrel. This is all taken care of for those are not able to do this themselves.I greatly appreciate the fact that this service is made available to his customers for the simple fact that I know the job is going to be done right. I do not have to worry about ruining my barrel or muzzle break for Jim is able to care for this matter.
All veteran-run businesses are something that deserves praise one way or another. When it comes to Whittaker Arms, I have had the pleasure to relate to the owner on a personal level with the background that we both share. I advise anyone that lives in the state of New Jersey to make a stop at this local gun shop. The courtesy that he provides to every one of his customers goes beyond what a normal shop would extend to others. It goes without saying, that when it comes to anything 2A, Whittaker Arms leads the way.
