You’re not forgotten, ask for help

This afternoon June 8th 2018, I got some hard news that a client of mine had passed. Taking some time to reflect on decisions, it occurred me that I need to be better. You ask yourself better at what? How? Why? What is my end goal?
What I need to be better at is the reflection in celebration of life. Today I found out a good client of mine also had their first child. I saw some pictures and she’s beautiful. Every moment in decision that we make effects someone somehow. Is the decision financial selfish, or to enjoy family life?
I look around me and see so much vigor in the little ones. I see people in their senior years making a point to not let themselves get old in spirit. I also see those with demons eating away at them. I don’t care which one of those you are, or even none of those. There is support out there for when times get tough.
I promise you things will be tough. Job loss can happen in an instant. An accident that could be debilitating could happen. Someone around you could choose to take their own life. Conversely those long nights with a screaming toddler that has an ear infection or a little baby who needs to eat every 3 hours it’s not easy either. Regardless reach out to somebody.
We all have friends that are fathers, veterans, police officers, firefighters. The common denominator among every human being is they’ve seen stuff that they needed to get out and talk about. I absolutely advocate to not hold those emotions in. Phone a friend. If you feel like you don’t have any , The National Suicide Hotline number is 1-800-273-8255.  They are available 24 hours everyday.
