Pay attention now because this is not another company with a heat gun burning their fingers making amateur/mediocre holsters. Chris puts some serious thought and effort into his designs and out of the 60 or so holsters I have this is one of my new instant favorites because it is done correctly. His entire line of holsters leave his shop with the consumer in mind they accept RMR’s, threaded barrels, compensators, and suppressor height sights. That is what we call a game changer because we all know and follow the trends and find new ways to shoot better. However, his approach is to have a “one stop shop” type of holster so you don’t have to buy several anymore you can stop by his website and essentially any upgrades you can make to the pistol is covered by that same holster.
I received an outside waistband holster for a glock 19 with a streamlight TRL-1HL because that is generally what I carry everyday. However, when I took a look at it I realized I could use this for several glocks I have because the retention is on the light itself! So my mind started racing as I was reading his website and I got a bit curious and put my compensated RMR glock 17 with the light on and bam perfect fit. I repeated it with my compensated glock 19 as well and a factory glock 19 it accepted all 3 pistols flawlessly. Yes, you read that correctly one TKS holster fit 3 different pistols with 3 different purposes just by having solely the TRL-1HL in common.
Needless to say, my mind was pretty blown after finding this out and I was pretty stoked. He does this by making his mold a one of a kind his holsters are open ended so the slide length does not become a factor and they all have a custom angle sweat guard that covers the sweat area but is open to accept a red dot sight. Customizations is becoming ever more prevalent among pistol owners whether it is for cosmetic or functional reasons everyone shoots differently so it is better to be prepared. Tailored Kydex Solutions has taken care of the consumer in a serious way it is a holster you can get used to and grow up with if you choose to modify without dropping more money on another holster. I am pretty sure you have heard this a time or two online buy once, cry once and put your money in ammo instead of multiple holsters every time you get an upgrade for your pistol.
Overall, the quality and options are just amazing all of the edges are clean and polished and wont dig into you at any point. The holsters come either with a slight drop Blade-tech slight drop rig or a TEK-LOCK attachment which actually proved to be just a little less hassle to change than the G-CODE RTI rig I usually run. So essentially, you can pick up a holster for three different pistols (between the glock 17 and 19) with the light option and TEK-LOCK for just under $70 that deal is just insane, and that’s his everyday prices!
