5.11 Female Wyldcat Pant Review

I am already a fan of 5.11 gear and women’s apparel. So when I when I was in Vegas last January I jumped at the chance to go to their store. I wanted try on some things in hopes to find some more pants I could use at the range and for a few other outings. I had heard about the Wyldcat pant and straight away tried them on. I was happily surprised that when I tried on my size it fit exactly as it should. The length was perfect, and I could tell they were extremely durable. The seems are reinforced and the fabric is thick.

Made with mostly cotton, polyester they seem slightly stretchy with a bit of elastic incorporated into them. Double knee construction a heavy thread & non raveling lock stitch. The additional features that I like about the Wyldcat pant is that the side gusset zipper on the ankle allows for boot cut or straight cut wear in seconds. There are 4 normal pockets as well as 4 additional pockets for magazines or other things like a cell phone or knife.

So of course I bought them and put them to the test! I was able to wear them a few times since then, and each time they have not disappointed me. I did not feel constricted by the fabric or waist of the pant. I was able to wear both boots and shoes with the pant easily.

The thickness of the pant really kept me warm on the colder days at the range. That was probably the best part about them because it gave me more time to do what I was there to do. The only thing that I thought could be considered a con about the Wyldcat pant is the softness of the material allowed for it to collect a lot of hair, fuzz and things like grass and hitchhikers.

All in all I think the Wyldcat pant are more than worth their value, as I see these pants lasting me for a few years. I could comfortably wear them hiking or at the range or even camping.
