XTECH Magazine Extenders A Solid Budget Minded Option

Companies that currently manufacture magazine extenders are definitely aplenty in todays market. So, if you are going to manufacture them they need to have kind of a niche in order to be profitable. XTECH however, has managed to do that with their line of magazine extenders that they offer for the M&P9 series and the H&K VP9. This particular review is on the M&P9 ones because the VP9 I used to have didn’t agree with me because it was the first gen and it was riddled with problems so I sold it. However, at the price point of MSRP $29.99 for one or $49.99 (use discount code gunhaven10 for 10% off) for two magazine extenders they were definitely worth a try.

I have to be pretty honest here I feel like they could charge more because these are some solid heavy duty magazine extenders. Upon receiving them I did notice that they were polymer to which had me a bit worried but then I remembered all of the aluminum ones that have failed me. So, I decided to disregard the material they were made of and just run them as hard as I would anything else across several surfaces. My first worry was that they would shatter if dropped on a hard enough surface so I started magazine changes with a FULL 21 round magazine on dirt and then I moved up to gravel and finally a concrete floor. I was not let down at all even with a fully loaded magazine it never had a hiccup landing solely on the magazine extender every single time.

These magazine extenders were very well thought out with their two part system an outer thicker shell and an inner thinner shell to break up the impacts a bit. Now, please understand me I am not saying they cannot break I am simply saying that you are going to have a pretty hard time doing it. Majority of people that use these extenders use them for competition and are not sponsored so XTECH is doing them a big service by selling them at this price point. Usually a +5 magazine extender will run you between $75-90 each! You can snag 4 of these for the price of one almost so definitely keeps these in mind. I have beaten the ones they have sent me to be bruised and battered and they have functioned every time flawlessly and these took less then 30 seconds to install give them a look!

It is always a constant battle for those that want to prepare for the worse and carry daily between printing and capacity. Due to the argument that shot placement always trumps stopping power. However everyone’s budget does not always line up with their beliefs in my opinion this is a seriously competitive and viable option. As well as if you are a competition shooter and in need of some solid kit but you have not acquired any sponsors to help offset the cost yet these are for you as well. In my opinion I would say give these a shot and hopefully they make Glock ones to cater to the majority of the market as well check them out here.
