Today, I recieved an email from Wather regarding the PPS Mod 2. This striker-fired pistol is a direct competitor to the Sig P365, Glock 43, and Smith & Wesson Shield.
The email said :

This pistol has been out for a few years. Though it is not a super popular model, it is a good shooter. I say this because I may or may not have some solid range time on the pistol.
It looks like a manufacturer learned a few lessons from the follies of Sig Sauer and is handling the situation in well defined parameters.
