Ultimate Hybrid Holster

I have always enjoyed hybrid holsters, so when I got the opportunity to check out the Ultimate Hybrid tech I jumped at the chance. Right away I noticed it was very different from the other hybrid holsters I had used before. It seemed obvious there was extra room in the holster to allow for a multitude of firearms to be carried. Regardless I was a little skeptical that it would really be all that comfortable or versatile.

The first thing I wanted to do was put it on and see how it felt. I was curious as to whether the “memorycore” backer would annoy my sensitive skin, or how it would do with sweat and movement. Mostly I wanted to see how it felt to wear it sitting down with a full sized weapon. I wore it all day with my M&P Pro Series, and even drove with it and was surprised that was actually pretty comfortable. It did really well absorbing my sweat, which did make me think about how to properly clean it in the future. On the way to the range I didn’t feel it digging or pinching and everything stayed in place.

I unfortunately only own a few firearms, so I visited my friends private range and asked him to pull out a few of his handguns to see what would fit in this holster. The company boasts that it fits over 100+ handgun models, rightly so I was interested to see for myself. We had about seven handguns with different barrel lengths, full size to subcompact that we tried one at a time. Each seemed to fit with ease, and lock in to the holster by the trigger guard. I even tried the M&P C.O.R.E with the RMR and had no issues with fit. All that was required was my body for tension and a trigger guard for the handgun to lock in place. The holster allowed for an HK Compact .40, Kimber Custom Pro CDP II .45, Walther CREED 9mm, Smith & Wesson M&P Pro 9mm & CORE with RMR, Sig Sauer p226 .40 and a Glock 27 subcompact .40.

I was happy to see all firearms fit without a problem, but I did notice extra room in the holster no matter what handgun I was carrying. That threw me off a bit, and I can only be left to assume its to account for higher front sites. I cant find any other reason for the additional space, even so I was happy to know I now had a holster that I could use with any semi automatic handgun I ever owned. More so, I could allow someone to borrow it if need be. As for performance, drawing from concealment with this holster was comfortable regardless of the handgun I used.

If you are looking for a comfortable hybrid holster that can be used with multiple handguns this may be the best option out there for you. However if you are looking for something compact and not visible, this may not be your best choice. Even though I was able to conceal all firearms using this holster, it was slightly noticeable on my small frame.
