Spiritus Systems

When it comes to this review field, I noticed that many individuals are definitely picky when it comes to their gear. These individuals want to know what exactly they have in store for them before the purchase has been made. In response to the overwhelming requests of many individuals who are in the market for gear, I have decided to put on the chopping block now is the MK-3 chassis. This is a product produced by none other than the company known as Spiritus Systems. When it comes to this product I want you, the reader to fully be able to grasp what I am bringing to the table for this review, and provide you with the most up to date information about the chassis that I have acquired for this review.

When it comes to the MK-3, I have noticed some defining positive attributes for the system. First, I will be going over the flexibility of the chassis. When it comes to the MK-3, we see that this is available to be a chest rig itself, with two sets of straps that buckle into the chassis. Following this, we are able to attach the chassis to a plate carrier as well. With the straps attached to the MK-3, it makes it easy for the user to hook up to a plate carrier that has buckles built into it. Personally, I have found it compatible with my plate carrier, (Mayflower APC).

  • side note: there is a strip of velcro on the back of the MK-3, covering the back of the chassis offering more stability to the user.

Following this, I am going to get into the functionality of the product. With the MK-3 chassis, there are 2 different slots in the product that is separated by a strong material. This makes it easier to separate the magazine inserts in the chassis.

Going over with what this has to offer to its user, there are a few different inserts that make carrying extra magazines a breeze. Spiritus Systems have created inserts for the MK series that is able to be placed inside the chassis, allowing for a snug fit in designated holders for 5.56 magazines. Along with this, we see that there is also an insert that is specifically made for pistol mags.

  • Spiritus Systems also has magazine inserts created for larger caliber magazines such as 308.
  • Pistol mag inserts come in sets of 2.

One thing that has caught my attention that was a bit of a snag was the 4 buckles on the side of the chassis. If they are not put to use in the chassis such as the chest rig function, they just sit there. When I run they begin to flap around. An easy fix was to simply just fit them in between the plate carrier itself, and the chassis.

Overall when it comes to the Spiritus Systems MK-3, I have to say the system is superior. It gives you enough functionality that you are able to adjust to any situation you may find yourself in. Spiritus gives a truly superior advantage to the user, and I would have to say recommending this product gives me a whole new outlook on the gear industry.
