Another celebrity has been accused of sexual harassment or misconduct during their career. Morgan Freeman now has sixteen people who have accused him of this sexual misconduct, eight accusers, and six witnesses. This comes on the tails of the sentencing of the icon Bill Cosby. Morgan Freeman who has an extensive history of movies ranging from documentaries to action films seemed like one of the actors that were down to earth and wholesome after his movies such as “Driving Miss Daisy” but it turns out he is another accused sexual predator.

The reason why I bring these two sexual predators up is that they both at one time or another has spoken out against firearms. Both believed that gun control was a necessity and have in some cases advocated for the extremely limited sales of firearms. Many people follow celebrities like they many follow religions. This is a culture of hero worship which is not an issue, but many of our celebrities have as much political influence as our politicians do and, in some cases, even more. Most people can’t name their Senators or Congressmen but many can name their favorite actors and actresses.

With being able to name actors and actresses people take their word over anything else even facts. This has been proven by the Anti-Vaccination movement, the anti-second amendment movements, and the radical feminist’s movements. We watch these celebrities sell their values for money, want to say you’re a feminist, but yet play the part of a stay at home mother working as the background character to a male lead. Want to be against the second amendment, but then turn around and use a firearm to kill mindless and faceless enemies for a paycheck. Morgan Freeman acted in a movie called Wanted, in the movie he played the main villain and killed people with a firearm.

Is it just me or is it the worse of our society that always seems to tell us we shouldn’t have firearms. They tell us daily and attempt to shame us from having our firearms to protect ourselves. Sexual predators telling us that we shouldn’t have or have our firearms limited tells me now more than ever that we need to have them. We have allowed our citizens to be influenced by our celebrities for too long and with more and more celebrities being accused and proven to be sexual predators. Today we need to stand up and stop allowing our children and ourselves from listening to the social elite.

  1. unlike cosby Mr Freeman has not been found guilty of anything yet. you may not like his politics, I know I dont, but the press also should not convict a man before he is tried by a jury of his peers. you did not use the word alleged criminal which could open u up to slander suit if its proven not to be true

  2. What happened to “innocent until proven guilty”? Also, what do his gun politics/ or his celebrity have to do with whether or not he is or isn’t a sexual abuser? And finally, why are we as a society, so quick to persecute a person by today’s moral standards for something that may have occurred anywhere from 10-30 years ago when societal morals where far different. Are you the same person you were 10, 20, 30 years ago?

    1. The whole quote is “innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.” We are not a court of law. We are citizens
