Cloud Defensive a Game Changer

When it comes to the illumination that is required for shooting at night, many different individuals have a personal preference when it comes to their lights. Some people prefer a light that you can just press the button and boom turns on, others prefer a light that can be regulated through a touchpad. When it comes to me I prefer having the touchpad that I can attach to my rail when it comes to regulating the use of a light on my rifle. With my choice of using this touchpad, I have run into a problem that has plagued not only me but many others that make the same decisions that I do. This problem is the cable that runs from the touchpad to your mounted light, that hangs down. It flops around and gets caught in everything and anything that it can. Its a pain, and we all know it. Now there are many different remedies that people come up with to fix this problem, i.e zip ties, velcro, etc. Now those methods may be well and great but they are not practical and will eventually fail.

Enter in the company known as Cloud Defensive. I had recently been given the opportunity to review a company that claims to have fixed this problem when it comes to that infamous loose cable. The product is known as the LCSmk2k. This is a touchpad mount that is made for the rifle light that I have bought which is the Protac HL-X from Streamlight.hi

When I had received this product from Cloud Defensive, I immediately had begun to examine it. I took note on the weight of it. The weight of the mount was extremely light for how well it was put together, and for the importance of it roll on my rifle, coming in at 1.9 ounces. The weight is extremely important to me, because when it comes to the weight if my rifle I do not want to weigh it down any more than what I have to. Next is what the mount was built with. The product is made of aluminum which made it light, but for aluminum, it was built extremely well and felt strong. When it comes to the different parts that Cloud Defensive sends you. The mount is pretty simple. There is a base plate that the touchpad slides into, along with 2 side plates that hold the base onto the rail, and two screws. This is extremely important to me and helps me greatly.

When it comes to installation I need to be able to put this together fast without many parts to take up enough time to install than it already will. , and how easy it would be to install it to my rifle.

The main problem that I had addressed when it comes to the light situation was that there was a hanging cable that connected the touchpad to the light itself. When this product that was produced by Cloud Defensive was being made, they had taken this problem into account as well. When it comes to the mount for the touchpad, on the side walls on the interior of the mount, an interior component was made that fit the touchpad cable securely on the inside. This is extremely beneficial to the user, for now, there is no reason for anything to hang onto the cable, allowing you to fully utilize the flashlight during whatever situation that may arise.

I had given this mount made by Cloud Defensive numerous amounts of different tests that I would use in order to prove my stance on the product. I had slammed the mount itself on the ends of a table at the range, trying to get it to move. All tests proved to me that this is a superior product that anyone should be able to utilize when it comes to needing a mount for a rifle light touchpad. I fully approve of what Cloud Defensive has offered the public when it comes to matters like this, and will continue to use it for my own needs.
